Legacy Academy Franchise Owner

After graduating with a bachelors degree in Psychology in 1998 from Florida International University, and specializing in Substance Abuse and HIV counseling at the University of Miami, Denise pursued her career in the mental health and substance abuse field. As she began her family, her priorities shifted. That led to her interest in Early Childhood Education. Denise was a Preschool Director training at Miami Dade Community College before realizing she should have a Legacy Academy franchise of her own. She is currently co-owner of Legacy Academy at Berkeley Lake and Legacy Academy at Satellite.

Along with her husband and management team, she has led the school into NAEYC accreditation. The school has recently achieved Quality Rated status from Bright from the Start and has received numerous awards from The Legacy Academy Corporation. Those honors include the 2013 “Center of Excellence” and “Making the Magic Happen” awards. The later award is based on parents’ feedback about the school. She is a Certified Nutrition Counselor after an intensive training at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. Denise is an expert in food intolerances and food’s effect on children’s emotions, behavior and learning. Denise and Juan are proud parents of two wonderful children and live in Suwanee, GA.
